A Hope Worth Fighting For

Recently, I heard the phrase, “A hope in Jesus worth fighting for.” The powerful words in that phrase excite me! I sometimes view hope as something to grasp as a last resort when I am discouraged and exhausted. It’s good to be reminded of the power of hope in the Lord. The Bible tells me to “fear not” no less than 365 times. It’s clearly a message I need to pay attention to daily. I’m changing my thinking to “Fear not and fight for hope”. It’s a battle cry.

God’s Word gives me promises of what He’s done in the past and will continue to do. I love that He equips me to join in the battle for hope with the full armor of God. I have no reason to fear because God fights for me and brings me through the rough places and deep waters. Fear not and fight for hope! A hope in Jesus is definitely worth fighting for.

But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the One who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are Mine.”

Isaiah 43:1 (NLT)
